This past Thanksgiving weekend was filled with many wonderful moments. I am so thankful for the wonderful people in my life; friends and family, my dog Ralph. Kevin, I am so sorry for your loss. You have many friends who are here for you.

Thanksgiving Thursday kicked off to a Thanksgiving dinner at the Lams where there were all sorts of desserts. Blaine and I brought a sweet potatoe pie, Kevin brought a pumpkin cheesecake (at my request) and a pumpkin pie. Tony brought a sweet potatoe and a pumpkin pie made by Jackie. Needless to say all 22 of us were stuffed. Another highlight of the evening was watching Bobby's film.

Black Friday did not bring the usual great deals at Best Buy or any other retailer for that matter. The ads didn't show any extraodinary deals. However, Blaine and I decided to brave Fashion Valley Mall at 6am anyway. I was able to get some early bird specials and find things for ebay. We spent the morning shopping and got home about 1pm. We were exhausted. After a nap we got up and went to Costco then I made dinner and we went BACK to Fashion Valley on the premise of buying an apple IPOD. Once we got to the store we realized the ipod did not have a color screen like we had thought and the 10% off deal was not quite 10% so we decided to wait.

Saturday we woke up early again to go shopping. We caught the early bird at Saks 5th, 25% off entire purchase. I was able to find a couple more Christmas gifts around Mission Valley which was also nice. B and I started to get hungry and had lunch at the Star of India at the food court. It was pretty good. Afterwards we both had a kickass workout at the ARC. We hurried our way home to bake a cherry pie and walk Ralph just in time to make it to Henry and Lily's for Thanksgiving dinner #2. There I was able to see Diane, her husband Chris, Stephen, Aunty Janey, Uncle Tom, Dorothy, Eric, Timothy, Aunty Cynthia, Uncle Simon... It was nice. Afterwards Blaine, Dorothy, Eric, Timothy and I bowled at Mira Mesa for a couple hours.

Sunday I received terrible news from Kevin. He went skiing with his good friends and one of them was hit by a car while they were putting chains on their tires. She passed away. I am so sorry. Me, Blaine and his roomate Tom have been taking care of his dog Addy because he has been very busy.

My great weekend at Universal Studios with Blaine!
On Saturday morning we got up and packed up our things and Ralph's things. We dropped Ralph off at Club Pet over night. I had a coupon for a free night from when I adopted Ralph from Helen Woodward that was going to expire on the 23rd of November so I decided to use it. The people working there didn't exactly leave me with the most secure feeling with leaving my little boy there. They took him away without even letting me say goodbye! Who does that? a bit strange. On top of that, you have to pay extra for things such as leash walks, hair brushes, indoor play time... Kind of pricey considering they charge $24.50 for a day and then if you pick up your pooch after noon, you have to pay an extra day. I got Ralph extra indoor arena play.

Anyway, Blaine made excellent time to Universal Studios. He got us there in an hour and 45 minutes. We got great parking and trotted through city walk to get to Universal. Our day at got off to a great start, we went to the Back the Future Ride with NO line. Then we went to Jurassic Park with no line either.... then we went to the Revenge of the Mummy ride with a 5 minute line! Awesome. By that point we started to get a little hungry so we made our way to Jurassic Cafe and got ourselves some burgers and fries. Be breezed through the lines and by the time we sat down at our seats, there was a long line. We were getting to everything one step ahead of the traffic. I felt like a child again, getting so excited with my bestfriend, running from ride to ride. We then made it to this special effects 'show' which sure was *special* full of *hilarious* hosts... OKAY NO. They were pretty bad comedians, nails on a chalkboard bad. Waste of 20 minutes. Anyway, we went to BackDraft after that which was decent. Good for warming up. We then made it up to the Studio Tours, formerly known as the Backlot tours I believe. Then we did Shrek 4D which was kind of lame. We then watched Animal Planet live which was cute except for the fact that they hadn't changed up the show much since the last time I saw it which was 10+ years ago. Afterwards we were able to ride Jurassic Park (where poor B got soaked) and the Mummy again. Both without waits. By then it was about time for the park to close so we made it out of there and enjoyed City Walk for a bit. Afterwards we drove to this huge mall in Irvine called Spectrum. We shopped around until 11pm or so and then Blaine drove me to UTC (r-m open until midnight)and got me a purse I had wanted. Thanks B for the wonderful weekend.

We woke up to a huge rainstorm on early sunday morning. Nothing like San Diego is used to. I kept waking up every couple hours because I was excited to pickup Ralph. Yesterday evening Kevin, Blaine and I went to try out another Asian buffet. We went to Old Town Buffet which despite it's name is deceptively not even close to Old Town, it is actually in Escondido. It was decent, good coconut shrimp. It was a lot of fun. Still, I prefer the place I went with Blaine for our 9 month anniversary last weekend, East Buffet.

Its Thanksgiving week!! TIME WITH BLAINE! FOOD! SHOPPING! FAMILY! DESSERTS! PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE! BLACK FRIDAY!

November 5: For USD's Bar Review I went to a country western bar for the first time. It was called In Cahoots! and was in Mission Valley. I must admit, I felt a little out of place, but it was pretty fun. The amusing part was the dress code for guys. They need to tucked their shirts in. When we first got in, Blaine was asked to tuck his shirt in and while I was getting a drink I was greeted by massive butt slaps by Becky. It was a lot fun. Next Friday is Kim's birthday so I heard from B that we might be going to Shout, a piano bar in downtown San Diego. This will be after their MPRE (Multi-State-Professional-Responsibility-Exam)exam though.
