COLDPLAY was awesome! That was the most amazing show I have ever been to. The guys are so talented, entertaining, and funny. We went to the show with Parnian and Dan. Ok, so the traffic was ridiculous and stressful but we made it in time because Coldplay didn't come out until about 9:25pm. I think we just barely got into our seats at 9:12pm because of the bumper to bumper. I can't believe it took that long to get into the show. We picked up Parn and Dan at 6:00pm, made it down to Chula Vista for a quick subway dinner. We were back on the road and had to travel like 2 miles but that 2 miles took about 2 hours! But all in all we actually made it in time which is amazing since the opening band was set to come on at 7:30pm... so all that matters is we made it for the first song and even had time to use the restroom. Thank you Blaine for my birthday present!

Not only was the show amazing, we had great seats. We were in the front row of the second section so when Chris Martin ran out into the middle of the crowd during In My Place he ran right past us. Blaine was like, "oh my gosh, there he is!" Unfortunately I couldn't whip out my camera fast enough. The evening was a beautiful San Diego evening so even though we were outdoors it felt like we were indoors since there it wasn't cold. It was perfect! Coldplay under the stars. I've never had such an amazing high after a concert.

Before I tell you about my plans for the next few weeks. Here are some pics from what I've been up to for ya'll to enjoy!

The gorgeous Marie in her beautiful wedding dress!

Me and "the other Marie" at Marie and Jarrod's wedding outside the church in La Jolla.

The Strawberry Boston Creme cake I got my Dad for his visit to San Diego during his birthday!

I still have a cough! What is up with that? At least I'm not really sick anymore. Last week my new computer at work arrived along with the flat screen monitor they got me. I'm liking it so far at LPL Financials.

Tonight I tried gourmet pizza at Zpizza. It was really good! I should have taken a picture of it. We ordered a Thai pizza with the freshest ingredients and pesto bread sticks with organic sauce. You can even get it with wheat flour! Next time I want to try the vegetarian Calzone.

Well tomorrow is Friday which means the beginning of my weekend by the afternoon. And more importantly ->payday!

Well, I'm feeling a lot better this evening. I'm still battling the congestion in my lungs which makes it hard to breathe. I can't wait until I am fully recovered and can make my way back to the gym!

This weekend Chris came home to visit since my Dad is in town too for a conference in San Diego. I'm going to visit Chris labor day weekend in Santa Barbara. He lives a block away from State Street - pretty neat. I'm looking forward to checking out his new place & going back to SB.

It is Sunday night and work is what I have to look forward to tomorrow. Actually I really like it, I love that I work from 7:15am to 3:45pm. What awesome hours! I can't believe it is already my 4th week of work. I still feel like I've just started!

So I'm sitting at home on a Monday morning when normally I would be at work by 7:15am. I have been struggling with a reoccuring fever of 102 degrees since Wednesday. I was a trooper last week and went into work but that probably wasn't a good idea because the weekend has passed and I'm still sick. I was supposed to go to the Del Mar races Saturday but no, I felt like I was dying. I was supposed to go to the Padres/Reds games yesterday but no, I still felt like I was dying. So last night I called in sick and today I am feeling the slightest bit better. Everyday I've been hoping to recover because being sick is just aweful. My muscles have been aching, my body is numb, I've been sweating puddles but been freezing cold (goosebumps), headaches, dry mouth, raw nose... I haven't been able to function properly, I've been so out of it. Even getting up to use the restroom was hard! I don't think I've ever felt that weak before! Usually I feel like a strong woman! I can tell I am feeling a bit better now because I can actually sit in front of the computer without feeling like it is taking all my effort. I will be returning to my bed shortly though!

A few notes for the weekend:

My Dad arrived in San Diego yesterday. I picked him up from the airport. He was the one who noticed that I wasn't getting better. He took my temperature to see it was actually a little over 102.

The Bar Exam is over! Yay ~ Congrats to all who sat for it (especially you B)!

Chris starts his new job at Yardi in Santa Barbara! Goodluck with that. I want to visit you on a weekend once I feel better.

So I'm starting work on Tuesday @ LPL Financial Services in their Alternative Investments. Fun fun! This weekend I went out to try to get some new work clothes because of course what is the first thing a girl thinks about when pondering a new event? Shopping! I didn't end up buying anything but I do have enough for now since I have worked in an office before. There is just something about shopping that is so innate that getting something new just seems natural!

I'm so happy for Chris, he decided to take a job with Yardi in Santa Barbara which I think he will really enjoy! It is an awesome opportunity. We both think its a great start. I am so stoked for him ~ beeming with happiness.

Vince came down for the weekend to hang with Chris. Sounds like they had a fun weekend. They went to the Padres game then to PB.

This evening Vince, Chris and myself pulled weeds from our front yard. My fingers are a little sore from it. I even wore gloves!
